WALKTHROUGH (DEMO)

Before starting a new game, it's suggested you go through the "SPECIAL" menu and look at all the actions you can do in this game.

INTRO
You start out with a hot @$$ intro to the game. Snake is at the George Washington Bridge and is in a raincoat walking on the side of a bridge smoking a cig. He starts running and hits stealth mode. Jumps off the bridge with a bungie cord (great sequence). Jumps onto the freight carrier busting the stealth camo and giving him a terminator entrance. But Revolver Ocelot is watching him. Maybe its they're doing what they did to Snake in the first game. (suggested that you buy and play the first game if you haven't already)

The first thing you gotta do is enter the freight carrier. After a long movie of how to go through your inventory and stuff you finally gain control of Snake.

FAST PACE
If you want to go through this demo quick, here is the part of the walkthrough you want to check out. Once control of Snake is gained, run him through the outer part of the boat when you start off so the guard on the top balcony won't see you.. Like this (O-1):

Hide against the wall (O-2) on the left side of the boat where the first guard is patrolling. As suggested up top (go through the the SPECIAL to learn actions), use all the actions to take full advantage of every corner. When the guard is not facing you but in your sight. Equip the tranquilizer gun and turn around the corner and shoot him in the head (sometimes the guard patroling up top will see him fall asleep and come down so sneak behind the wall again just incase). When coast is clear; go through the side of the boat and through the door near the steps (O-3). When inside, follow through the hallway and into the locker room (A-1). There is one items listed but there is another item on other side of locker room::

Go out the other door equipped with your tranquilizer gun. Hide on the corner and when the guard faces off of you; shoot him(A-2). When he is unconcious you can either leave him there and go on or have fun and put him in the locker! (A-3):

Follow the hall where the guard was patrolling and go through the door at the end of the corridor. Hide around the corner and you should see two guards (A-4); shoot the walking one when he's turned around, don't worry the other one won't see you. Then shoot the standing one. Walk to the bar and the couches around the TV to get some ammo and a ration (A-5 & 6). Walk down the hall the one guard was patrolling and down the steps. Be quiet theres a guard down here. Tranquilize him and grab the ammo (A-7):


Now go back up the steps and up the other steps that the one guard was standing at. Go through the right door (A-8):

Walk down the hall and you'll see a little cutscene of Snake seeing a guards shadow. If you are good, pop out and stand him up; if you are a beginner sneak and wait for him to turn and shoot him (B-1). Now you can either follow the hall and turn into another hall to the stairs and advance one more level or follow the hall to tranquilize another guard! If you wanna get the guard, follow the hall until it gets a yellowish tint to it. Look at your radar and there will be a guard patroling around the fourth or fifth corner(depending how you look at it)from the corner in the image B-1. Tranquilize him and open the locker for ammo and put him in it(B-2 & 3):


Now go back to the left hallway with the stairs that aren't blocked, if you already haven't, and go up them (B-4). On Deck C; there is only one obstacle here, a camera(C-1). Easily just sneak up on the wall and under the camera, it won't see you (you would know this if you played the first MGS). Open the locker near the stairs for some Chaff. Gren. and go up the stairs (C-2):

On Deck D; there is quite a few things here. Follow up the steps and past the door the guard went through. Go down the little hall and you'll see some laser set explosives. You'll get a call from Otacon telling you about this. First go through the door on your side of the lasers (D-1 through 5). Grab the Chaff Gren. and the cardboard box. Hide immediatley in the cardboard box and sit still(best place is behind the rack). A guard will come in and walk around a little bit and starts sleeping. Get up out of the cardboard box and deal w/him however you like, just make sure he doesn't wake up and call for backup. Once out of that room, go back to the lasers. There is a guard patroling there but he won't see you. Shoot him in the head with a tranquilizer and your worries will be over. After him shoot the fire extinguisher and smoke will pour out revealing the lasers. Crawl under the lasers and go up the stairs; or you can go through the door and shoot the guard for some ammo and a ration, but beware of the camera. But either way, go up the stairs.



It will cut to a cutscene of choppers flying by and Snake reveals where the ship is heading and why. Then he sees a women outside. Grab some ammo in the bottom right of this room (E-1). Go out the door on the left side of this room and a cutscene will begin. I have partial of this cutscene in real player format. Check it out in the Movies section. Anyways, after the cutscene, it is your first boss fight! She is really easy to defeat. Grab your USP and aim for her head. Keep rations equipped for emergencies. I think it is a easy head shot kill here but not sure, just aim for the head. That is the end of the demo. After this i'm sure, and i'm sure your sure, we can't wait for the full game!
